Dear Poetry Friends, Stick season is upon us, and Poetry at the Grange is shifting to our winter hours. We'll continue to hold our lovely salons on the second Thursday of each month but from November through April we will hold it in the afternoon from 1-2:30. We will miss those of you who can't make daytime poetry, and welcome back those who don't like the evening hours. Our November 13 program will feature the Grange's own Carpenter Poet, Joe Bergin. Joe gathered and encouraged carpenter poets during his many years working as a carpenter in Boston, and he hopes to do the same in Vermont. He will treat us to his own poetry composed on construction sites and scratched on boards and scraps of lumber. After Joe's recital, we will open the floor to those who would like to share a poem or two of their own or a favorite poet. Should the parking lot fill up, please park at the Church just south of the Grange, by the fence. Poetry at the Grange is held every second Thursday in collaboration with the Charlotte Library. This program is just one of many interesting programs put on at the Grange, located at 2858 Spear St. Please see our website at charlotte grange.org for more information. (责任编辑:) |
