A Columbia man was taken to the Boone County Jail, accused of making terrorist threats, among other charges.

Prosecutors charged Steven James Franke, 39, with Terrorist Threat, Resisting Arrest for a Felony, Property Damage, and Misusing 911.

Court documents state that dispatchers said that Franke called 911 about 17 times on Friday, January 24.

He reportedly said, “I’ll call again when I’m out on the streets and want to kill a cop or some ****.”

At 10:53 pm on Friday, police tried to contact Franke at a Columbia hotel.

Court documents state that Franke barricaded himself inside his room.

It took about an hour for the police to get inside.

The hotel’s manager told officers that it would cost $2,400 to fix the damages inside the room.

Officers took Franke into custody, taking him to the Boone County Jail, without bond.
