San José City College is one of the oldest community colleges in California. We have proudly served as an educational hub for thousands of students.

In 1986, we became part of the San José/Evergreen Community College District, which includes our sister college, Evergreen Valley College.

In 1999, 2004, and 2010, voters passed bond measures to fund campus rebuilds, providing modern facilities and technology. Notable developments include the César Chávez Library, Robert N. Chang Student Center, and Jaguar Sports Complex.
