Main information: Admission fees 2026

Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein Castle: 21 euros regular · 20 euros

With one of our annual season tickets or 14-days-tickets you can visit over forty of the most beautiful sights in Bavaria!

HOHENSCHWANGAU CASTLE
Please note that Hohenschwangau Castle CANNOT BE VISITED with the annual season ticket or 14-day ticket, because it is not administered by the Bavarian Palace Administration!

Tickets

Due to the high number of visitors, we recommend purchasing tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle in good time from the official online ticket shop (booking fee 2.50 euros).

Important note for families to book online: Children need a free ticket to enter the castle (booking fee 2.50 euros). Please take this into account when booking online.

Alternatively, there is also the option of purchasing tickets at the box office in the Ticket Centre in Hohenschwangau on the day of your visit, depending on availability and only for the current day. These tickets are often sold out very early ("first come first serve" principle), which is why we recommend that you arrive at the Ticket Centre as early as possible (for opening at 8 am or a little earlier). If the tickets are already sold out, it will unfortunately not be possible to visit the castle on that day. Reservations are generally not possible.

Free and reduced entrance

Likewise, accompanying teachers and group leaders are responsible for the behaviour of minors in their care. Children under 14 years of age may only enter the objects of the Bavarian Palace Department if accompanied by an adult supervisor.

Students over 18 from general schools, vocational schools, special schools and schools for sick children in accordance with Article 6 (2) of the Bavarian Education Law (BayEUG) are also admitted free on production of a student identity card.

Students from “second chance” schools (evening schools leading to intermediate or higher secondary school qualifications, colleges) in accordance with Article 6 (2) No. 1e of the Bavarian Education Law and language school students are not admitted free of charge.

Further details about reduced admission fees, free entrance etc you will find in our general information.
