Contact InformationEmail: david.stoner@usu.edu David Stoner's research addresses questions about the effects of climate and land-use change on valued wildlife species in western ecosystems. To achieve this, he collaborates with state and federal natural resource agencies to develop conservation plans for species that are vulnerable to the effects of light pollution, habitat fragmentation, and exploitation. David's current projects include examining the potential for mountain lions to limit feral horse populations, competitive interactions between feral horses and native ungulates, and the impacts of wildfire and drought on mule deer in the Great Basin.
