Can you take Benadryl if you have already taken Mucinex (guaifenesin) and Delsym?

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be safely taken with Mucinex (guafenesin) and Delsym (dextromethorphan) as there is no interaction between the three medications. It is important to point out that both Mucinex and Delsym are brand name products and come in a variety of formulations that contain multiple ingredients.

Remember to check each product to ensure that you are not taking too much of the same medication or two different medications that work to treat the same symptoms. If you plan on taking multiple cold medications, it might be easier to take a combination product. This reduces the amount of doses that you have to take and eliminates the confusion of dealing with multiple bottles.
