What is this website about? ambientCG is one of the largest sources for free PBR materials, HDRIs, and models for 3D art, architectural visualization, game development, VFX and more. Today, ambientCG serves over 1,000,000 monthly downloads to hundreds of thousands of artists, students, and educators all over the world. Why does ambientCG exist? I started this website in 2018 to provide freely shareable 3D textures because I had become frustrated with the licensing policies of many other texturing platforms, which limit or forbid texture redistribution. Are the assets really free for any purpose? Yes. All assets are released under the Creative Commons CC0 license, making them free to use without attribution - even in commercial circumstances. See the License page. How can I support ambientCG? If you'd like to support the project, you can become a patron on Patreon or buy me a coffee on Ko-fi. Becoming a patron also includes perks such as ad-free browsing or early access. Can I request a texture? Not with a guarantee. If you are a patron, you can make texture suggestions, but I can't give any concrete promises and I don't do contract work at this point in time. Can I get in touch?
