FAREPAY Card: Save Time, Save Money

UTA is simplifying and modernizing its fares system. With many old passes going away, the FAREPAY Card is the easiest way to pay to ride. Sign up now for a FAREPAY Card and account.

Save money – Fare capping automatically ensures you pay the lowest possible fare.

No more lost passes – Registered cards can be replaced if lost or stolen.

Convenient and flexible – Reload online, at TVMs, Customer Service locations, or participating retailers.

Transfers are automatic – No need to request or track them.

Low one-time cost – A one-time $3.00 card activation fee applies when you first get a FAREPAY card. This fee is waived for riders approved for Reduced Fare. There are no reload fees, dormancy fees, or ongoing charges.

Using your FAREPAY Card, the more you ride, the more you save with fare capping! Regular FAREPAY Card users are charged the regular rate of $2.50 per trip. Charges are capped at $5 per day for regular fare, which is two paid trips on local bus, BRT, UTA On Demand, S-Line, and TRAX. The weekly cap is $20, which is two paid trips a day for four days. For premium service (FrontRunner, Ski Bus, and Express Bus), the daily maximum is $10, and the weekly premium maximum fare is $40.

The Reduced Fare FAREPAY Card is available to youth, seniors, people with disabilities, and people with qualifying income.

Reduced Fare FAREPAY Card users are charged $1 per trip. Charges are capped at $2 per day and $8 per week for local bus, BRT, UTA On Demand, S-Line, and TRAX. This fare maintains the current reduced-fare rate and offers a higher discount than the monthly pass or cash options. For premium service (FrontRunner, Ski Bus, and Express Bus), the daily reduced fare maximum is $4 per day and the weekly maximum is $16.
