GEICO accepted my claim on September 29, 2026. My automobile was in the shop from October 5, 2025, to October 29, 2025. GEICO paid the collision shop $14,300, and I paid Classic Collision in League City, Texas, a $1,000 deductible just to get my car back, but my car wouldn't start on October 30, 2025, to take my kids to school. I immediately called and texted the claims adjuster. She responded that she would cover/back the shop to get my car fixed correctly and to take it back to the shop. I finally got it started, then got it up there. They reset the check engine light, and it came back on the following day. Then Mr. Everett told me he wasn't a mechanic shop and that I needed to take it there, that he couldn't fix the problem because he didn't have the equipment or mechanics for that. So, GEICO wanted another opinion and had me take my car to the dealership to tell me they needed proof that this was accident-related. After I paid $777.77 for a car note, $340 for insurance, $1,000 in deductibles, and over $1,000 for a rental car, my extended contract warranty doesn't cover that part. The collision shop got paid and failed to fix my car. GEICO told me I was responsible after paying all that money. I just wanted my car fixed right for my family. Now my car doesn't move, and I have to pay the car note and insurance. HELP. (责任编辑:) |
