One of our key missions at Friends of the Family is providing assistance that help individuals overcome barriers to maintaining stable housing. Our housing assistance programs provides rental assistance, case management and advocacy to qualified individual. Housing Assistance Programs Include:Supportive Housing & Turning Point Rural Housing Programs A rental assistance and case management program for residents of Allamakee, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties. Program requirementsParticipants must be living in a shelter, on the streets, or fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking. Create and follow an individual case plan Meet a caseworker for in-home visits to work on identifying needs and barriers to maintaining permanent housing including budgeting and life skill development Work toward self-sufficiency **Permanent Supportive Housing - must have a documented disability & chronic homeless status** Rapid Housing Initiative of North Iowa This program provides rental assistance for individuals experiencing homelessness for residents of Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Mitchell and Worth Counties.
